About Sunny
Hi, I’m Sunny, a communications and design professional based in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
I began working in design as a teenager and now have more than 20 years of experience helping organizations communicate clearly through visual storytelling. Today I serve as Communications Director for the New Mexico Early Childhood Education and Care Department, where I lead communications across web, social media, email campaigns, and public-facing visual media.
My work is grounded in a deep understanding of New Mexico communities and audiences. I believe visual communication plays an important role in making complex information accessible, helping people quickly understand ideas and connect with the message being shared. Recent statewide campaigns I’ve led have reached millions of viewers across web, email, and social media platforms.
Alongside my public sector work, I collaborate with small businesses, artists, and organizations across New Mexico on web, print, and social media projects. My design aesthetic is fun, engaging, and approachable, making complex ideas clear and memorable.
